They managed to free an AFU veteran who had been held captive for more than three years.
The Ukrainian military conducted a unique special operation in Lugansk region, within the framework of which they released a veteran of the AFU, who had been in captivity and slavery in the temporarily occupied territory for more than three years.
The military ombudsman and the Navy's special intelligence detachment "Angels" told about it on Facebook
The soldiers of the Navy's special intelligence detachment "Angels" conducted an operation that brought home a 29-year-old veteran of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a 34-year-old member of the National Guard.
The two men had been reported missing for more than three years, but were found to have been held captive and enslaved in temporarily occupied territory.
The mother of the released veteran, who is also a member of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reportedly appealed to the military ombudsman Olga Reshetilova. She reported that her son was hiding in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk region after numerous tortures.
Subsequently, it turned out that not far from where the veteran was held in slavery by one of the collaborators, an active serviceman of the National Guard of Ukraine was being held in slavery.
Officer of the special intelligence unit Artem Dyblenko said that the operation was complicated and risky.
"In fact, there were two parallel special operations - the guys were taken out separately from each other until a certain stage," Dyblenko said.
He said that neither the NSU fighter nor the veteran of the Ukrainian armed forces knew the details of the operation, fully trusting the scouts and clearly following their instructions.
