Zelensky And Trump Had A Phone Conversation

Ukraine's president reported "strong ideas" for strengthening air defense and support from the US.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky had a conversation with Donald Trump, during which the parties discussed Russian strikes on Ukrainian energy and the possibility of strengthening the air defense system.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the statement of the head of Ukraine.

"Talked with US President Donald Trump. A good conversation, very productive," Zelensky said.

The Ukrainian president said he congratulated Trump on his success and the agreement for the Middle East, which he actually secured.

"This is a strong result. And if it is possible to stop the war in that region, definitely other wars can be stopped, including this Russian war," he said.

Zelensky also said that during the conversation he informed Trump about Russian strikes on Ukrainian energy.

"Grateful for the willingness to support us. Discussed the possibilities to strengthen our air defense and the arrangements we are preparing on this. There are good options, strong ideas on how to really strengthen us," he noted.

The Ukrainian president emphasized that the Russians need to be ready to participate in real diplomacy.

"Through strength, this can be ensured. Thank you, Mr. President!", - Zelensky concluded.
