There were several explosions in Munich, which resulted in one person's death. Shooting has also been recorded, police are conducting an operation in one of the city's districts.

"We are now conducting an operation in the Lerchenau district together with the fire department. Significant traffic disruptions are expected. Please avoid the area," Munich police said in a statement.

A large-scale operation involving police and firefighters is underway in northern Munich, according to Bild. Several explosions occurred at the scene during the night and early morning, and gunshots were heard.

The body of a man and a person with gunshot wounds were later found at the scene. Special units and explosive ordnance disposal specialists are also working at the site, the exact circumstances of what happened are still unknown.
