AFU Forces Russians Out Along Wide Front Area Near Bakhmut

The bridgehead for the offensive on the flanks has been expanded.

Ukrainian defenders in the Bakhmut direction continue to dislodge the enemy from their positions. The AFU have successes on the flanks.

RBC-Ukraine reports this, citing DeepState.

"The Defence Forces have managed to extend their success at Berkhovsky Reservoir. Due to successful actions of the 3rd DShBr, the enemy was forced out along a wide section of the front adjacent to the SD-D canal (Seversky Donets-Donbas canal, - ed.)," the summary reads.

Analysts also say fierce fighting continues near Orekhovo-Vasylivka and Berkhovka.

Other directions

Heavy fighting is not limited to the Bakhmut area. For example, the occupants are stepping up their assaults in the Avdiivka sector of the front. DeepState notes the Russians are attacking south of Pervomayske.

Heavy fighting is also taking place in the Zaporizhzhia direction, in particular, on the line from Orekhovo to Pavlivka. Position fighting near Masyutivka continues in the Svatove direction.

As Charter97.org reported, the military leadership in recent days has claimed successes of Ukrainian fighters in the Bakhmut direction. The Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Anna Malyar, said that the AFU had advanced from 200 to 1,100 metres in the past 24 hours in different areas. She notes that the AFU has switched from defence to offensive in the Bakhmut direction.
