Attack On Sevastopol Bay: Shooting Heard Near Russian Military Units

There is a base of Russian warships in the bay.

Shooting was heard near Streletskaya Bay in Sevastopol on May 31. The sounds of gunfire started to be heard at 11:40.

This is reported by a correspondent of "Crimea. Realii". According to him, the nature of the bursts resembled attempts to shoot down aerial objects.

"At 11:40 a.m., indiscriminate shooting from small arms began. The shooting started suddenly, with interruptions. The nature of the bursts resembled the actions of shooting down airborne objects," the publication wrote.

"Crimea. Realii" reminds that there are several Russian military units on the shores of the Streletskaya Bay that provide coastal protection. There is a mooring place of Russian warships in the bay.

Before that, the Crimean Wind Telegram channel, citing reports from Sevastopol residents, also wrote about "loud noises" in the city. They were particularly well heard in the area of Admiral Fadeev Street. This street overlooks Streletskaya Bay.

Local public pages also wrote about being "loud" in Sevastopol, and wondered hopefully if the shots were the result of another "exercise", which is the usual explanation for explosions and shooting in Crimea by representatives of the occupation "authorities".

As Charter97.org reported, powerful explosions were heard in Sevastopol and Saki on May 30.
