Russian Orthodox Church Urged To Bomb Ukraine With ‘Grads’ With Prayer

Archpriest Andrei Tkachev called for the bombing of Ukraine, saying a prayer, and equipping the Grad installation packages with the phrase “Lord, have mercy.” A video of his sermon has been posted on the Zen platform, The Moscow Times reports.

“Do not equip a pack of Grads without prayer. You put each cigar in — “Lord, have mercy, Lord, have mercy, Lord, have mercy.” And so on, and so on, and so on. Not because you want to, but because you need to,” he called.

Tkachev also explained to those listening to his sermon the “secret spiritual meaning” of the war in Ukraine. He called Russia the only civilization that did not want to “dance to the tune” of Western countries. Russia decided to impose its values on Ukraine and because of this, it launched an invasion, as follows from the words of the priest.

Tkachev was born and raised in Lviv. Since 2004, he served in the temple of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, and in 2014 he moved to Russia. He regularly criticized the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in his sermons, which he pronounced also in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and in the Assumption Cathedral in Moscow.

During the coronavirus epidemic, Tkachev urged Russians to ignore measures to combat the spread of infection. He came to one of his sermons wearing a gas mask, parodying those who wear masks. He called TV and the media that disseminate information about the coronavirus evil.

And after the start of the war in Ukraine, the archpriest urged the Russians to go to war and kill Ukrainians.

“Military death is better than all deaths. People are dying like pigs, choking on vomit. <…> Here is your death. <...> It is better to die for the motherland with arms in hand. Like a hero, like a man. Also pray before you die. [Said] “Lord, have mercy,” and went to heaven,” he said.
