Belarusian Aliaksandra Akpinar and her son, who disappeared after the earthquake in Turkey, died. Her sister Maryia wrote about it on social media.

“Today my sister and nephew were found dead,” she wrote.

The last time Aliaksandra Akpinar got in touch was on the evening of February 5. She was living with her husband and son in the city of Hatay, one of the areas most affected by the powerful earthquake.

On February 8, it became known that Aliaksandra 's husband died in the hospital. The Belarusian woman and her son were listed as missing.

Recall, an earthquake of magnitude 7.7 with an epicentre at a depth of 7 km occurred at 4.17 am on February 6 in the province of Kahramanmaras in southern Turkey. The consequences affected many regions of Turkey and neighbouring Syria. The quake lasted throughout the day. According to the latest data, more than 23,000 people died.
