Disgraced Oligarch Gutseriev Stops His Charity Activities In Belarus

The friend of Lukashenka is distancing himself as much as possible from our country.

As Office Life has found out, the Local Charity Fund "Safmar" has ceased its work and been liquidated in Belarus. Its founder since 2018 was the Russian Safmar Charity Foundation of the sanctioned Russian oligarch, Lukashenka's friend Mikhail Gutseriyev.

In mid-September, the organisation, which was registered in the agro-town of Shershuny, was removed from the unified state register of business entities in Belarus.

Like its parent company, the Belarusian foundation was engaged in supporting projects in education, sports and healthcare. In 2020, for example, it financed the construction of an Orthodox church in the agro-town of Novaya Huta in Homel District. At the time, the organisation employed three people.
