Local Fan Of Lukashenka, Who Attacked Belarusian, To Be Tried In Poland

He faces up to two years in jail.

The well-known Polish scandalist Wojciech Olszański, who attacked a Belarusian with a pepper spray because of his nationality last year in Bydgoszcz, is soon to be tried, he faces a 2-year prison sentence. The Belarusian Mostmedia portal drew attention to this news, which appeared in the epoznan.pl publication.

The described case took place in Bydgoszcz in May 2021. After a rally in support of Belarusians subjected to repression in their homeland, Olszanski sprayed pepper spray in the face of Belarusian student Hleb Vaikul.

Olszanski is also accused of anti-Semitic speeches, during which he wore uniforms with SS symbols, and of attacking a journalist and a member of the Sejm.

The Pole faces up to two years in prison. He does not plead guilty.

Wojciech Olszański became known in 2016 for videos on YouTube where he promotes violence, anti-Semitism and xenophobia. The Pole supports Putin and Lukashenka and denies the existence of the coronavirus, calling it controlled by the US army.

Olszański is a professional actor: he has performed at the National Theatre in Warsaw, played several supporting roles in historical films and organized historical reenactments.
