Wargaming Opens New Offices In Belgrade And Warsaw

This is a new phase of the company's restructuring after the announcement of its withdrawal from Belarus and the Russian Federation.

Wargaming opens two new offices: in Belgrade and Warsaw. The new offices will be the sixth and seventh European studios (after Nicosia, Vilnius, Prague, Guildford and Berlin) and will employ up to 400 staff, both local and foreign. Belgrade will become a potential place for relocation of employees, writes devby.io.

The Serbian and Polish studios are at a new stage in the restructuring of Wargaming after the announcement of their withdrawal from Belarus and Russia due to the war in Ukraine.

The main direction of the Belgrade office will be World of Tanks and World of Warships games. It will host key services, current support, and, in the future, the development of new products.

Warsaw will initially have only a small publishing team, with most of the staff working remotely. Plans and directions of development have not yet been determined.

It also reports on the Wargaming Forge internship program in Belgrade, designed for students, graduates and local professionals.

"Warsaw and Belgrade were the rational choices for these new locations,” Wargaming CEO Viktar Kisly says. "Both are fast growing technology sectors with huge potential. We look forward to working closely with the IT communities in both cities to build best-in-class game development and publishing businesses.

"Wargaming continues to move forward and has big plans for the future," Viktar Kisly added.
