On November 16, 8 different metalworking machine tools with numerical control stopped working at one of the Homel plants. When it became clear that it was a software failure, they called the police, informed the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Homel Regional Executive Committee.

Police officers found that a 35-year-old adjuster was involved in stopping the machines. In the morning of November 16, he deleted system files and illegally seized ten removable memory modules with machine software and part control programs.

“5 machines belonged to the plant, 3 others were leased by the Minsk holding. Due to the actions of an employee at the plant, the production of a number of parts was suspended, which, after their manufacture, were to be sent to the assembly line of the capital's plant. The enterprise suffered damage in the amount of more than 55 thousand rubles,” the police said.
