Will McDonald's Continue Working In Belarus?

The restaurants were supposed to change their name two days ago.

The withdrawal of McDonald’s from Belarus, announced on November 22, did not happen.

Despite the announced transfer of the McDonald's restaurant chain under the control of the Russian network Vkusno - i Tochka, the establishments still continue to operate under the old brand.

The website Charter97.org tried to figure out the company's plans. Our correspondent called McDonald's headquarters as an individual who wants to get a job. When asked whether it makes sense to fill out a questionnaire on the website, the representative of the company answered in the affirmative.

The fact that McDonald's is leaving the Belarusian market became known on November 11. This was reported by the press service of the company on social media. At the time of the publication, the post about the brand change was no longer available.

At the same time, the McDonald’s mobile application in Belarus is no longer active, and the message about the brand change remains on the official website.

They even started removing McDonald's signs in Minsk last week. True, a few days later the signs were returned to their place.
