How the AFU has changed the front line in the last hours.

The AFU continue to strengthen its positions and regroup in the north of the Kherson region. They have made significant progress in the region, liberating a number of settlements over the past 48 hours.

The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) writes about this.

Against this background, the Russian occupants have to evacuate the wounded to crossings over the Dnipro River, as well as destroy their ammunition stockpiles during the retreat.

According to preliminary reports, Ukrainian troops are preparing for offensive actions to the northwest of Kherson. In particular, they are building up their groupings around Posad-Pokrovsky, Oleksandrivka and Terny Podov.

Reports say that Russian army officers have fled Snihirivka, abandoning their troops there. According to analysts, Russian Army commanders may have withdrawn from Snihirivka on the eve of an AFU counterattack.

"The loss of Snihirivka by Russian troops would be a significant event, given the city's position on the western bank of the Ingulets River. The loss of control of the Ingulets River by Russian troops would further isolate Kherson from the east and increase the city's vulnerability to Ukrainian encirclement," analysts explain.

The Russian occupiers are focused on the Ukrainian counterattack northwest of Kherson because of fears that Ukrainian soldiers could create conditions for an offensive on Kherson.

The AFU continue to systematically destroy the logistics and reserves of the Russian army. Strikes were carried out against Russian logistics, transport and command facilities and occupants' staging areas throughout the Kherson region.
