Authorities Delivered Ultimatum To Minsk Entrepreneurs

Minsk city executive committee threatened to close trade facilities, if they do not remove snow within a day.

The Minsk City Executive Committee said that Minsk residents are complaining that large shopping centres and chain stores do not clean snow from car parks and squares, do not treat paths and steps with salt, and there are many ice injuries and minor accidents, Minsk-Novosti reported.

"The mayor's office has conducted its own monitoring of retail facilities.

"The order: if within a day the trade does not clean up the adjacent territories and does not ensure the safety of customers, the work of trade facilities will be forcibly stopped," the agency said.
