Lithuanian Border Guards Deported Several Dozens Of Illegal Migrants To Belarus

The Border Guard Service has started executing the decision of the Lithuanian government.

Lithuanian border guards have deported dozens of illegal migrants to Belarus.

This was announced by Deputy Minister of Interior of Lithuania Arnoldas Abramavičius, speaking on Tuesday on the air of the national radio LRT.

"Dozens of people were detained while trying to cross the border and deported to Belarus in Švenčionys, Šalčininkai and Ignalina districts," said Abramavičius.

On Tuesday, the Lithuanian government, by a protocol decision, gave the relevant authorities full authority to prevent illegal migrants from entering the country.
