Are the Authorities Preparing for Fuel Interruptions at Belarusian Filling Stations?

The Mozyr Oil Refinery is being repaired in June, not May.

The reduction in supplies, which Transneft talked about, was associated with the planned overhaul, which was to begin in May at the Mozyr refinery. However, the overhaul is shifted by two weeks - and, instead of May 15, it will start on June 1, reports Euroradio.

“This year, the overhaul will start from June 1,” says Henadz Tsetsiaruk, Deputy General Director for Ideological Work, Personnel, and Social Development of the Mozyr Oil Refinery. "All contracts for the supply of petroleum products will be fulfilled, like the previous four months, and we will not disrupt supplies.

The postponement of the repair may be related to rumors that Naftan will receive only 50 thousand tons of oil in May (in April, there were 600 thousand tons). And the simultaneous underloading of Naftan and the shutdown of the Mozyr refinery for repairs threaten fuel interruptions at the Belarusian filling stations. The authorities deny the likelihood of such a turn of events.
