Political Prisoner, Who Defended Girl From Riot Guard, Got Married In Prison

The wedding took place in Hrodna.

Entrepreneur Mikhail Yudzin, 43, was sentenced to four years in a penal colony in March 2021 for trying to liberate a girl from a riot policeman during the protests last fall, Euroradio reports.

Two children and his wife Valeryja (they lived together for 15 years, but did not register their relationship) are waiting for him at home. She had no right to receive visits and parcels because she did not have a stamp in her passport. That's when Mikhail and Valeryja officially got married. The ceremony took place on May 5. Relatives and friends came to congratulate Valeryja.
