The chains of solidarity of the Belarusian women have returned Ivan Yankovsky's faith in humanity.

Russian actor Ivan Yankovsky admired the women's marches that took place in Belarus in the summer of 2020. After he saw the chains of solidarity of Belarusian women with flowers, he had "hope for a bright future." He told about this in an interview with KinoPoisk.

The Internet service Kinopoisk interviewed the Russian actor Ivan Yankovsky, who played the main role in the TV series "Topi" (partly filming took place in Belarus - in Minsk and Brest). On the air, the artist was asked to recall the kindest situation that allowed him to believe in himself or humanity. Yankovsky's answer was:

- It was on the set of the film "Topi" when there were protests [last summer in Belarus]. There was a day when the girls went out to the avenue with carnations. At that moment we were driving from a cafe, we had a day off. And I naturally shed a tear because I had never seen such a thing when, relatively speaking, girls went out instead of men.

The entire avenue, the entire boulevard, all the streets were simply filled with girls, and they stood with carnations, sang, waved them, and passing cars honked, supporting them. This moment is one of the most recent when I had hope for a bright future about everything - not just the situation where we were. That there is good, there is light. "I am for you - you are for me."

The first episodes of "Topi" aired at the end of January. The project quickly gained popularity and got into the top 5 most popular TV series on KinoPoisk. Now his rating on this portal is 7.5 according to more than one hundred thousand users.
