The Nobel laureate plans to see a new country soon.

Nobel Prize laureate for literature Svetlana Alexievich has announced her return to Belarus from Germany, where she is currently undergoing medical treatment.

According to her words, cited by the Belarusian Foundation for Cultural Solidarity, it's now "very important for the Belarusians to preserve their morale," "I think this is the only way out: we must preserve the respect for ourselves. Spring is coming, it must be a serious test".

The writer says that back in August she saw the following poster at the marches: "Belarusians, forgive me for not believing in you and wanting to leave".

"Now in Europe, as soon as they hear the word "Belarusians," they immediately start asking questions: "How are you doing there? What's going on there?" We have emerged as a political nation not only for ourselves, we have emerged for the world," - she said.

Alexievich assures that she would never have left Belarus "if my health were a bit stronger": "But my plans, of course, include a spring return to Minsk. And I would like to return to a new country. Each of us has to endure today."
