Opera Singer Marharyta Liauchuk Daringly Responded To Propaganda Of State Mass Media

The top-quality snark.

On February 14, the air of STV channel broadcast a song with an appeal to punish the well-known Belarusians who spoke out against the actions of the authorities? Belarusian opera singer Marharyta Liauchuk recorded a daring response to the state TV channel, tut.by writes.

A parody of the song "Punish Them, God," recently broadcast by STV, appeared on the YouTube channel of Marharyta Liauchuk. Together with guitarist Andrei Pavuk, the singer appears wearing red-green clothes, and they called their duet "The Red Green".

The clip lasts just over two minutes: during this time, the artist quickly changes plates in her hands with ironic inscriptions in Trasianka (a mixed form of speech in which Belarusian and Russian elements and structures alternate arbitrarily). They mention the scenes with a machine gun and a helicopter, "Massandra", Lukashenka's Spitz, Lithuanian puppeteers, the All-Belarusian People's Assembly and supporters of the current government - the Hruzdzeu sisters, Ryhor Azaronak, Mikalai Karpiankou and Ihar Marzaliuk. In the comments to the video, people write that "this is the top-quality snark" and "a worthy response in difficult times". At the time of publication, the video had been viewed by more than seven thousand users.

We remind that this Sunday the program "Week" on STV channel broadcast a song with the words "Punish them, God, punish them, all those who have broken away from the people". Along with the singing of the song, people who supported the changes were shown on screen.
