Belarus Canceled Self-Isolation For First- and Second-Level Contacts

The new rules will come into force on December 22

The Belarusian government has cancelled the requirement for self-isolation for first- and second-level contacts. This is provided by the decree № 727 of the Council of Ministers of December 17, 2021.

According to the document, citizens of Belarus, foreign nationals and stateless persons with COVID-19 infection are subject to self-isolation. The requirement of self-isolation for first- and second-level contacts is excluded from the list.

At the same time, the legal act establishes that persons who received the requirement to comply with the rules of conduct in self-isolation before the entry into force of the new regulation, must ensure compliance with them before the expiry of the period of stay in self-isolation, specified in such requirements.

The new rules will come into force on December 22.
