Date Of Last Evacuation Flight For Migrants From Minsk To Iraq Announced

About 400 people are waiting for it.

The information about the evacuation flight for migrants from Belarus to Iraq appeared on the website of the Minsk National Airport again.

According to the schedule, the plane from Iraq is to arrive in Minsk at 12:43 on December 2, and to leave at 13:45.

The Telegram-channel of the Minsk National Airport reported that there were about 390 people (including 53 children) at the airport on December 1, waiting for an evacuation flight.

"The airport catering service provides meals for children and adults. Today the lunch menu includes mashed potatoes/ buckwheat + chicken cutlet and juice. Regular cleaning and disinfection of the premises is carried out, as well as maintaining an optimal thermal regime in the building of the airport terminal," they noted there.

It's still unknown whether any more migrants arrived on December 2.

The Peyama Kurd portal writes with reference to the Kurdish authorities that 430 people are supposed to return home on that plane.

We note that the flight was originally planned for November 30. Later, Iraqi Airways said it was postponed because they wanted to collect as many passengers as possible. While earlier, the Iraqi Ministry of Migration and Displacement said that this plane is supposed to be the last one. However, now there is no such information.

Ali Abbas, a spokesman for the ministry, said that nearly 2,000 migrants had already returned to the country. And the total number of migrants wishing to return voluntarily to the country, according to him, is 3,000 people.
