Russia Cut Gas Supplies to Europe via Belarus over the Weekend

Gas pumping through the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline dropped to about 0.3 million cubic meters per hour.

Gas pumping through the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline over the weekend dropped to about 0.3 million cubic meters per hour. This follows from the data of the European gas transmission operator Gascade, TASS reports.

According to Gascade, gas pumping through Yamal-Europe fell to 333 thousand cubic meters per hour by Monday morning from about 0.5 million cubic meters per hour on Friday. Thus, daily gas supplies via this pipeline may amount to about 8 million cubic meters.

At the same time, Gazprom booked about 31 million cubic meters of gas per day through Yamal-Europe in October and November.

The Yamal-Europe transnational gas pipeline passes through the territory of four countries: Russia, Belarus, Poland, and Germany. Its design capacity is 32.9 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
