In UN Polish President Spoke on Belarus

Andrzej Duda urged the international community to pay attention to the situation in our country.

The head of the Polish state Andrzej Duda made a video address at the 75th session of the UN General Assembly, writes naviny.by.

In his speech, he called on the world leaders' to demand from the Belarusian authorities the respect for human rights in the country, as "persecution of political opponents, mass arrests of peaceful protesters, use of violence and torture against them are unacceptable in any state".

He also stressed that Belarusian citizens "have the right to determine their political future in a sovereign way and without external interference, without the domination of other capitals and with the right to freely participate in international cooperation following their national interests".
