The starving women have written a letter to the dictator.

Mother 328 Movement activists, who are on hunger strike, are going to stop their protest campaign on Sunday, August 9, to go to the elections. Two starving women, Alena Kuzmina and Alla Bernal, have sent an appeal to Lukashenka by mail, warning that they would vote for Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, Radio Svaboda reports.

"For more than two weeks of our hunger strike, no one has come to us - not only Lukashenka, but even the district administration. Like, even if you die, we don't care. That's why we wrote that from that day on, Lukashenka is not our "president," and we will vote for Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya," - activist of Mothers 328 Alena Kuzmina said.

The hunger strike of the Mothers 328 activists began on July 16 in Alena Kuzmina's house in the village of Vostrau in Pukhavichy district. Three activists started the protest campaign, later three more women joined them, several activists stated that they would starve at home as a sign of solidarity.

One of the demands of the starving was to meet with Lukashenka. The Mothers 328 activists said they were going to discuss with Lukashenka the unsolved problems of drug distribution and integrating into the society the young people who have served their sentences for drugs and are returning home.

"But Lukashenka never came to us. Moreover, he was here, nearby, in Marjina Horka, visiting the military, but did not find time for us. Only Volha Kavalkova, a trustee of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, came to us from the candidates' headquarters, although we invited everybody. Therefore, we made a corresponding decision, too," - Alena Kuzmina said.

According to Alena Kuzmina, the participants of the hunger strike have already lost 6 - 10 kilograms during the campaign, and one activist lost consciousness and had to go home after calling an ambulance. At that, the district physicians did not pay attention themselves to the starving women, Alena Kuzmina says. "No one came to us with checks, as in the year before last," - the activist of Mothers 328 says.

Alena Kuzmina believes that next time the Mothers 328 activists will address the new president. "Look, people are coming in crowds for Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya. This one will not hold ground," - Alena Kuzmina says.
