The new government of Belarus should be formed by Statkevich, Seviaryniec, Cihanouski, and Babaryka

We must free them as quickly as possible.

Back in the fall of 2019, Belarusian bloggers raised the question "What's next?" at one of the mass actions. During this time, the situation in the country has radically changed, but the answer to this question stands before us with incredible urgency.

Many people in Belarus and abroad are surprised by the fact that protests take place without political leaders' speeches, why Belarusians organize themselves through the Internet and who will take over the government of the country.

It seems to me that the answer to this question is actually very simple. People who deserve it by their struggle, their honesty, their consistency must come to power in the country. And, of course, those who are supported by the people of Belarus.

The presidential elections in Belarus were not honest and fair, first of all, because the most powerful candidates - Mikola Statkevich, Pavel Seviaryniec, Siarhei Cihanouski, and Viktar Babaryka

- could not take part in them.

Their presence today in the dungeons of the regime is a confirmation of Lukashenka's fear of them, as well as evidence of their strength.

There is no need to torture Sviatlana Cihanouskaja. We have to thank this beautiful woman for overcoming doubts and fears; she went a very difficult way until August 9, 2020. She helped Belarus wake up, and the genius of her electoral program consisted in a simple sentence: "I don't want power, vote for me and new free elections will be held in the country." Due to threats, terrible pressure, Sviatlana was forced to leave.

But our enemies miscalculated: the Belarusians continued to resist the dictatorship with even greater energy, withstood the attacks of the regime's lackeys, inhuman in cruelty, continued resistance and almost achieved victory.

But a change of power is impossible without the release of our leaders, just as there were no possible changes in South Africa without the release of Nelson Mandela. In Poland - without the release of Lech Walesa. In Czechoslovakia - without the release of Vaclav Havel.

The political solution is very simple: released Mikola Statkevich, Pavel Seviaryniec, Siarhei Cihanouski, and Viktar Babaryka must agree and form a coalition government of national trust. The Belarusians at the national assembly of a million must announce the return to the lawful Constitution of 1994, and within a few months, Belarus must hold presidential and parliamentary elections under this Constitution. Sviatlana Cihanouskaja should bless these courageous and experienced politicians to create such a government.

In no case should you follow the lead of those advisers who suggest that Sviatlana herself becomes an ersatz president and forms the presidential administration according to Lukashenka's constitution with unlimited powers.

We don't have time to experiment. People who have proven their courage and competence throughout their lives will be able to lead the country, hold elections and necessary reforms that will make Belarus a normal European country and ensure a decent standard of living and security for its citizens.

Freedom to Mikola Statkevich, Pavel Seviaryniec, Siarhei Cihanouski, and Viktar Babaryka and all political prisoners!

Long live Belarus!
