The police are with the people!

Social media users expressed support for the Belarusian policeman who left the Interior Ministry in protest.

Against the background of clashes between activists and riot police in different cities of the country, Captain Yahor Yemelyanau resigned after 17 years of service, having reported this on Instagram.

“17 years of service are over ... My conscience is clear ... The police are with the people …” he wrote.

Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, who actively follows the events in Belarus, called for a “million likes” for the officer.
