HR Activist Valiantsin Stefanovich: Protester In Minsk Was Run Over By Police Special Vehicle, He Died

The entire responsibility lies with the authorities.

According to human rights activists of the Human Rights Center “Viasna”, a protester was killed during the protest action, which took place in the evening and at night from August 9 to 10 in Minsk, the website spring96.org reports.

The young man received a traumatic brain injury incompatible with life as a result of being run over by special vehicles on Peramozhtsau Avenue. Ambulance paramedics who arrived at the scene were unable to save him.

Also, according to “Viasna” HRC, dozens of victims of the action will be found in Minsk hospitals. It is known that two departments of the military hospital are occupied by the wounded. The victims are also in the Emergency Hospital and in the 6th city hospital in Minsk.

Human rights activist from “Viasna” HRC Valiantsin Stefanovich notes that all responsibility for the tragic events of yesterday evening lies entirely with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Security Council of Belarus.
