Handball Player Andrei Klimavets: Belarus Is Ready For Change
ANDREI KLIMAVETS

If there's a problem with the team, the first thing to do is to change the coach.

In an interview to tribuna.com, well-known Belarusian handball player Andrei Klimavets, who lives in Germany and works as a coach there, when asked whether he follows the events in Belarus ahead of the presidential election, answered yes.

- Of course I do. I try to keep abreast of all the events, I read information sites.

- And what do you think?

- Probably, it's time to change something. I think that Belarus is ready for changes.

I'll equate it with sports. I do not know any coach who has successfully led the team for more than ten years. And if there are problems in the team, the first thing to do is to change the coach, not the whole team, - Klimavets said.

In the middle of noughties Klimavets became a citizen of Germany and in 2007 won the world championship as part of its team. At the end of his career as a player, Andrei Klimavets was coaching Pforzheim from the third league. After taking a year-long break in 2019, he again headed the team from Baden-Wuerttemberg early this year.
