Honestly, I did hope that the parade would be cancelled. It could not believe that in the XXI century, despite warnings from the WHO and the indignation of society, people were driven into the epicenter of infection in front of the eyes of the world. I was waiting for the instigators of this mess to turn on their conscience at the last moment or at least their minds. Alas.

On the other hand, why did I think it was possible? The main driver of all this considers the coronavirus "not so dangerous" and calls it "psychosis". Why then should he cancel the parade? While other heads of state appealed to their peoples with words of support, our head blamed those who died for being too fat, doctors for being too lax, or self-isolated for sitting at home "with their hands down". Well, how can one expect some humanity from such a person?

If there is a minor threat to security, any sane ruler is better safe than sorry. The threat is not a minor one. On the parade day, the list included 22052 positive coronavirus cases. It adds 951 cases per day.

But our victory-man does not seem to care at all. "Everybody will forget the numbers on coronavirus. Everyone will remember how many people died. The main thing to focus on is saving people. We have the lowest mortality rate with such a volume of detected cases in Belarus," he said on the eve of the parade. Really?

Last week, the secret of "low" mortality, unwilling to do so, was revealed by Belarus 1 TV channel after the scandalous plot of Russian Channel 1 about Staubtsy. This plot has the story of Alena Zinovka - her daughter told a Russian correspondent that her mother had had a positive test for COVID-19, but doctors registered heart failure in her death certificate. Belarus 1 presented the following comment: "Doctors explained that the virus had been a trigger, pneumonia had almost been treated. Alas, the woman's heart failed.

Pardon me, the WHO has repeatedly explained that all those who are positive for the infection, even if they suffered from some chronic diseases, are recognized as victims of the virus! The International Guidelines for Certification and Classification (Coding) of COVID-19 as Cause of Death, a special guide developed by WHO, provide a detailed definition.

"A death due to COVID-19 is defined as a death resulting from a clinically compatible illness, in a probable or confirmed COVID-19 case, unless there is a clear alternative cause of death that cannot be related to COVID disease (e.g. trauma). Death due to COVID-19 may not be attributed to another disease (e.g. cancer) and should be counted independently of preexisting conditions that are suspected of triggering a severe course of COVID-19. In cases when COVID-19 causes pneumonia and fatal respiratory distress, both pneumonia and respiratory distress should be included, along with COVID-19. There are no "heart failures." Nevertheless, the bynet is filled with similar stories today.

But even if a person survived the infection and was not on the list of the deceased, the disease can bear complications. It also poses a great threat. How, being a ruler and having the whole Ministry of Health at hand, can one not understand it and declare that "this virus is not so dangerous"?

All this demonstrates a wild, inhuman regime our country lives in. It has become a guide to the theory and practice of anti-humanism. Today one can find answers to all questions: reasons why the GULAG and Auschwitz existed. Words "will not be forgotten, will not be forgiven" are no longer just about the fascists. They are also about those who, despite arguments and appeals to conscience, threw people into the infectious fire. This is our new Khatyn.

But people here burn slowly, expectorating lungs with blood in overcrowded boxes of intensive care. From now on, this blood is on the hands of our "brave" power. If before May 9, it was a hostage of circumstances, along with the rest of the world, on May 9 it builds up these circumstances itself. Every infected person, every new person who dies now is the victim of these circumstances.

"In this crazy world, which has got misplaced, there will be people who condemn us for the place and time of this action," said the ruler at the parade. He's good at pinning the blame on someone else. "We couldn't but do this. We had no other choice. If we had had, we would have done the same. Because the eyes of Soviet soldiers who died for our freedom, the eyes of partisans tortured to death in Gestapo, the eyes of Khatyn's elderly, women and children are on us. They longed for life, but died for us to live". That's right - for us to live! Not to die because of someone's thoughtless ambitions and desire to show off.

Our head turned out to be one of the two rulers, who held the parade on that day (the second is from Turkmenistan. According to official statistics, there is no coronavirus there at all). But it does not contribute to glory. A unique character only matters when it contributes to something good. If you are the one who painted "Dzhokonda", wrote "War and Peace" or developed a vaccine against a deadly disease, this is one thing. The outstanding recklessness, heartlessness is quite different. One infamous German with a rat's moustache was also the only ruler in the world who threw his compatriots in the stoves of concentration camps. But it bears no glory. This is the glory of Herostratus.
