Belarusian Banks Ran out of Hard Currency?

The situation recalls the one in 2011.

This morning, it became known that VTB Bank limits currency transactions by cards. The limit is no more than €100 per day.

Telegram channel "Economy of Belarus" has collected operational information about the situation with foreign currency in Minsk banks:

- Belarusbank, Korzhenevski Street, 10/1 is not selling hard currency, explaining it with its unavailability.

- Priorbank on Prytytskogo is also out of foreign currency. One should order it. It is available in 3 days and only for currency accounts.

- There is no currency in three offices of Belarusbank in Malinovka. Long live the year 2011.

- Priorbank abruptly broke down the system of currency purchases on Internet banking. It shows an error, but deposits from other systems work. The situation with MTBank is the same.
