Legendary director Barys Lutsenka died in Minsk. This was reported by the Gorky Theater, to which the master gave almost half a century.
The People's Artist of Belarus was 82 years old. Recently, he was seriously ill, rarely appeared in public. Barys Lutsenka has staged over a hundred plays on the stages of Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Germany and Switzerland. Among the best works are "Macbeth", "Hamlet", "The Inspector General".
The farewell with the outstanding director will take place at his native Gorky Theatre on Friday.
