Case Against Activist Yauhen Batura Fell Apart

They wanted to fine him for his participation in the rally to defend independence.

Diana Seradziuk reported to Novy Chas that on February 11, the Minsk City Court overturned the ruling of the Tsentralny district court of Minsk, which found the activist Yauhen Batura guilty of violating part 3 of Article 23.34 of the Administrative Code and fined him 50 basic units (Br1,350), HRC Viasna reports.

We remind that on January 9, the Tsentralny district court in Minsk sentenced the activist under Part 3 Article 23.34 of the Administrative Code (organizing and holding an unsanctioned mass event) for participating in the anti-integration rally on December 20. Judge Yuliya Hustyr fined Yauhen Batura 50 basic units (Br1.350).
