There Is Revolution Of Humanity In Belarus
SIARHEI TSIKHANOUSKI

New leaders will appear in every yard.

On December 30, Belarusian video blogger, author of the Country for Life Youtube channel and political prisoner Siarhei Tsikhanouski has managed to pass his answers to several questions of Deutsche Welle, in which he shared his attitude to the events in Belarus.

The revolution in Belarus will not die down by itself

Siarhei Tsikhanouski characterized the political situation in Belarus, where protests against the results of the presidential election have not stopped for more than four months, as a revolution. "There is a revolution of humanity, civil society and justice in Belarus. The revolution is a process, and it will not die down by itself," - the video blogger said.

Tsikhanouski noted that all leaders in Belarus have been shut off and the opposition is deprived of its leaders. "However, new leaders will appear in every courtyard. The outcome of the situation depends solely on our people," - the blogger said.

The case of blogger Tsikhanouski

In May 2020, blogger Siarhei Tsikhanouski planned to run for presidency in Belarus on August 9. The CEC of Belarus refused to register him as a candidate on the grounds that at the time of registration he was in a pre-trial detention center, serving an administrative arrest. His wife Sviatlana applied for registration of the initiative group instead. The Central Election Commission recognized her as a presidential candidate.

On May 29, at a picket in Hrodna to support the candidacy of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, the blogger was detained after a police provocation involving the prostitute nicknamed Lambada.

Belarusian human rights activists declared Tsikhanouski and other detained activists political prisoners.

On November 30, Tsikhanouski's lawyer Natallia Matskevich reported that his detention was extended for three months. According to her, the total period of detention will be nine months and is due to be over at the end of February 2021.
