The number of employees at the city-forming enterprises has radically changed in recent years.

Large enterprises continue to reduce the average number of employees. The leaders in terms of losses are MAZ, MTZ, Belshina, MAPID, and Naftan. For example, MAZ lost almost 670 employees in 2019 alone. Tut.by looked at how the number of employees at city-forming enterprises has changed over the past 5 years.

For comparison, we took the data on the websites of the Single Portal of the Financial Market, the Ministry of Finance, and also the enterprises themselves.

The leaders in terms of losses in terms of the number of employees were MAZ and MTZ: at these enterprises, the average number of employees over the past 5 years has decreased by more than 3 thousand people (at each of the enterprises). Belshina lost more than 2.7 thousand people during this period. The leaders on this indicator were also MAPID and Naftan.

The journalists also watched how the number of employees at large factories has changed over the past year. For example, at MTZ, at the beginning of 2020, the average number of MTZ employees was 15,753 people, and a year earlier - 15,849 people. At MAZ - 15,599 and 16,268 people, respectively, at MAPID - 5674 and 5788 people, respectively, at BMZ - 11,002 and 10,944 people, respectively, at Belshin - 8967 and 9378 people, respectively, at MZKT - 4541 and 4811 people, respectively, on Belaruskali - 16 527 and 16 300 respectively.

That is, MAZ lost almost 670 workers in 2019. This year, the optimization of expenses, including through the number of employees, continues at the enterprise.
