Released Political Prisoner Vitaly Shklyarov Is Already in the USA

Released political prisoner, political technologist Vitaly Shklyarov has already returned to the USA. Now he is in Washington D.C., reports Radio Svaboda. He is in the cardiology department.

Who is Vitaly Shklyarov?

Vitaly Shklyarov was a defendant in the Tsikhanouski case, although before the arrest he claimed that he had not been a consultant to Siarhei Tsikhanouski and never worked for him.

"The investigation is not closed, as well as the criminal case. We applied for an exit permit. It was granted, and Vitaly immediately went to his family and to recover after the coronavirus," Shklyarov's lawyer Anton Gashynsky told Interfax on Tuesday.

Gashinsky stressed that the exit permit had been granted.

"This is, of course, the result of Pompeo's call. This call precisely aimed at the release of Vitaly", he stressed.

Born in Homel, he represents himself as an American, German and Russian political consultant. He worked as an adviser to Barack Obama, Bernie Sanders, Angela Merkel, Ksenia Sobchak and others.

Shklyarov's wife is a U.S. citizen and works at the embassy in Kyiv. In this regard, he has an American diplomatic passport.
