Also, the BCD representative has been supported by the BPF party.

The National Council of the Party of Belarusian Christian Democracy has chosen co-chairman Pavel Seviarynets as the common candidate at the primaries, Radio Racyja reports.

The decision on a common candidate of the opposition has been supported at the primaries by democratic forces of Belarus, Pavel Seviarynets says:

- There are no elections in Belarus. What will happen between the party organizations and the nomination of a common candidate is the appointment of the leader. Maybe, the leader of participation, maybe, the leader of the protests. Maybe, and it's stipulated in the agreement, the leader of the boycott.

BPF deputy chairman Aliaksei Yanukevich also approved the candidacy of Pavel Seviarynets as a single candidate from the opposition:

- I believe that in today's conditions Pavel Seviarynets has the best potential to consolidate and mobilize people. Therefore, we are in favor of not stretching the procedure until May, if possible.

Co-chairwoman of the BCD party Volha Kavalkova will stand as candidate for the primaries on her own by prior agreement. To do this, she needs to collect 200 signatures. Her nomination by no means implies a split in the party, Volha Kavalkova says.
