It came to profanation and false testimony in court.

Today, the Tsentralny district court of Minsk fined former Supreme Soviet deputies Piotr Sadouski and Liavon Barshcheuski for participating in the rally to defend the independence of Belarus, Radio Svaboda reports.

Both politicians came to the court session and pointed out the illegality of their prosecution, but both were fined Br810.

"It was a profanation of the trial, the witnesses went on official forgery and false testimony. Instead of operational footage, the court used online broadcasts of Radio Svaboda and Belsat. I quoted the law on mass media in court, arguing that these videos can't be considered evidence in court, that they have no right to use them without permission, that there is no date and time," - Liavon Barshcheuski stated.

The trial of Piotr Sadouski was also held without taking into account the arguments of the defendant.
