The liner landed in Hrodna.

On Friday, January 24, a Belavia plane, flying from Minsk to Munich, landed in Hrodna. Several passengers, flying on this flight, informed tut.by about it. The flightaware site, which allows tracking the routes of the liners, shows that the plane was turned back in the airspace of Poland and returned to Belarus. According to the passengers, six people were taken off the board after landing in Hrodna.

The plane (flight B2899) was supposed to leave Minsk at 12.30 on Friday. But the departure was delayed. According to flightaware, the flight left at 15.33, that is, about 3 hours late. Judging by the plane's route on flightaware, the EMBRAER 175 almost flew to Wroclaw, and then turned back and landed in Hrodna at 17.39. The plane flew out to Munich at 19.26, and arrived at 19.01 (in Berlin, it's two hours less than in Minsk).

We were informed about the delay in the departure and return of the plane by several passengers of this flight (on arrival in Munich).

"Initially, the flight was delayed by 3 hours, explaining that there was a technical fault in the water supply system (or something related to the water supply), - one of the passengers informed. - As a result, the passengers were boarded, and we took off. It takes about two hours to get to Munich, and what a surprise it was when we started to descend after about that time, and the crew commander said we had to make an emergency landing in Hrodna because of a technical malfunction".

Belavia has not yet commented on the situation.

"When we landed in Hrodna, the crew reported that the technicians would deal with the problem and later they would inform us about future plans. At the same time no one was let out of the plane (there were passengers with children in the plane), - the passenger continues. - After about 20 minutes, a group of border guards and customs officers entered the plane. The border guard announced on speakerphone that he would now name six people, if someone heard his name, he had to get up, take his carry-on and luggage and go with him".

The Border Committee did not comment on the situation on-the-spot.

The passengers of the flight say that about 20 minutes after six people were taken off the flight, they all were asked to get off the plane and take their carry-on with them to refuel the liner. According to one passenger, after the passengers returned to their seats they were told that the technical problems had been eliminated. "It made the passengers laugh" - our reader who was on the flight says.

"We have never received any comments from Belavia employees. We were 5-6 hours late in total, a lot of people had connecting flights in Munich - their schedule was completely broken," - one of the passengers of the flight Minsk-Munich said.

The journalists have asked the press service of the Ministry of Interior whether they know about the return of the plane and the removal of some passengers from the flight. But they were advised to contact the airport press service for comments. The Hrodna airport was not able to comment on the situation.
