19-Year-Old Policeman Gets To Intensive Care After Fighting With Colleague In Dokshytsy District

19-Year-Old Policeman Gets To Intensive Care After Fighting With Colleague In Dokshytsy District

A scandalous incident occurred in the Vitsebsk region.

19-year-old district police officer of the Dokshytsy District Department of Internal Affairs Ivan Khilko received a head injury from a colleague’s blow. Now the doctors are fighting for his life in the intensive care department at one of the Minsk hospitals, Belsat reports.

According to the information provided by the source of the NEXTA blogger, the night before, outside the service, policeman Khilko and fellow investigator J. were relaxing in a bar in Dokshitsy. Both were wearing civilian clothes. They had a row, and the operative investigator allegedly hit the district police officer.

“There was only one fatal blow,” the source said.

Ivan Khilko was hospitalized with a diagnosis of “extensive skull hematoma”, he soon fell into a coma. According to unconfirmed reports, the doctors do not give positive forecasts, and as for J., he has been preliminary reported to be detained and placed in the remind prison.

There is no official information of the Ministry of Internal Affairs regarding the incident yet, their press-center has not reported anything about the incident. At the Dokshytsy District Department of Internal Affairs, the officer on duty, having heard a question from the reporters, immediately said: “No comment.”

Journalists found out that Khilko was recently assigned to the community police office in the village of the Dokshytsy district. As they said in the local rural council, once a week he came to check the situation in the village, to communicate with the residents when they had any complaints.

The journalists’ sources say that there is a personnel shortage in the Dokshytsy District Department of Internal Affairs - some policemen live in Hlybokaye and go to work in Dokshytsy every day.

Precisely because of this shortage, 19-year-old Khilko, who had only the rank of a sergeant, served as a district police officer, regardless of the rule that this post should be occupied by an officer.
