Opponents Of Battery Factory In Brest Are Back To The Square

More than a hundred people walked through the central streets of Brest.

More than a hundred people gathered in Lenin Square in Brest on September 22, where every Sunday, starting from February 25, 2018, opponents of the battery factory construction meet, naviny.by. reports.

According to human rights activist Uladzimir Vialichkin, about 110 people gathered on the square at 12.40.

The participants discussed the process of collecting signatures for nominating four activists of the campaign against the construction of the battery factory as candidates for "deputies" in the upcoming "parliamentary elections".

Every day since September 18th, the activists have been holding at least six pickets to collect signatures in the center of Brest, city districts and Brest district.

After the meeting, the opponents of the plant construction walked along the central streets of Brest - Pushkin and Savetskaya to the cinema "Belarus".

The police warned the participants via a megaphone about the responsibility for an unauthorized event.
