Lukashenka Allowed Courts To Get Information About Domain Owners

The dictator has signed a decree on the national segment of the Internet.

On September 18th the Belarusian ruler signed Decree No. 350 "On the peculiarities of using the national segment of the Internet ". This was reported in his administration.

The document allows government agencies, courts and notaries to receive personal data of domain name owners from the Operational and Analytical Center. It also clarifies the authority of the OAC to respond to cyberattacks.

The decree provides for the allocation of the money received at the auction from the sale of domains to the charitable accounts of institutions where orphans, children and children with special developmental needs live.

The Ministry of Communications and Informatization will be able to be a customer and organizer of works on creation, development and operation of the national segment of the Internet in the EEU information system.

In addition, it simplifies the procedures for the approval of fiber optic communication lines and strengthens the rigidity of requirements to the provider of Internet services in order to increase the security of government agencies and organizations when using the Internet.
