The Legendary Play Tuteishyia Is Back At Kupala Theatre

The director confessed that it was "asked by a lot of people."

The legendary play Tuteishyia will appear again in the poster of the Kupala Theatre. This was announced by director Mikalai Pinihin at a press conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the theater, tut.by writes.

The premiere of the play is scheduled for June 2020.

- I was forced to do it. A lot of people asked for it. This is the best play by Yanka Kupala, - Pinihin said, explaining his decision.

At the same time, the director admitted that he had neither the line-up nor the concept of the performance. Based on these words, it is not clear whether it will be the resumption of the old play or a new staging.

The play Tuteishyia, staged in Kupala Theatre in 1990, became a cult and one of the symbols of the era.

In the zero years, the play disappeared from the poster several times. The last performances of the legendary play took place in July 2007.
