Mrs. Natallia retired several years ago.

“This is so sad, we’re just in shock that this happened to her,” sighs Volha as she speaks with kp.by. She worked with Natallia, who died during an emergency situation at the salute in Minsk. - She worked in our institute for more than 10 years: in the educational department, and in the dean's office. She was loved by both her colleagues and students; everyone went to her for advice. No words are enough to describe her: first of all she was a good person and a good worker. She loved her family very much, helped her daughter: for one year she even took maternity leave at the institute so that her daughter could work, and took care of her granddaughter. We worked together for a good decade and a half. But we didn’t just work together. We went on picnics, to the dacha, we played volleyball together, went to the cinema and theaters, shared recipes and joy from pleasant events in life. Together, we celebrated holidays, baked pancakes on Maslenitsa ... Natallia was a cheerful, resilient optimist, always ready to help and support. Invariably delicate, diplomatic, she knew how to find an approach to the people and compromises in solving problems. She was OUR NATALLIA, and so it will remain. It is difficult to realize that a colleague will never call ... Let she rest in piece!

Volha heard about the incident that occurred during the salute on the radio.

- I was shocked that, in principle, such a thing could happen in Belarus, and when I learned that it was Natallia, I was just terrified. The whole collective is very upset. Two weeks ago, our colleague happened to meet Natallia, we all recalled her with a kind word.

On July 3, in Minsk, a state of emergency occurred during an Independence Day salute: a 64-year-old woman died, a projectile hit her in the neck and damaged the carotid artery. Another 10 people were injured, two of them remain in hospital.
