Journalists Hand Results Of Their Own Investigation Into Sheremet's Murder To Zelenski

A Belarusian journalist could have been killed because of the Zavadski case investigation.

Colleagues of Pavel Sheremet Darias Bogutsky and Eduard Chekin handed over their own investigation into the murder of the journalist to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to Hromadske, the investigation was handed over during the police report on the case.

The materials say that Pavel could have been killed because of his investigation into the disappearance of ORT cameraman Dzmitry Zavadski, with whom Pavel worked in Belarus.

"I'm sure the roots of this are linked to the murder of Dzmitry Zavadsky. Sheremet never stopped investigating it. I know that exactly. A few months before his death, we had talked about it and he never put up with the fact that he didn't even find Zavadsky's body," - Bogutsky said.

In his time, Pavel Sheremet made a film about the disappearance of people in Belarus, including Dmitri Zavadski.

The film is called "Wild Hunting," it tells about the fate of missing politicians Yury Zakharanka and Viktar Hanchar, journalist Dzmitry Zavadski and businessman Anatol Krasouski in Belarus. All of them openly opposed the authorities. Sheremet has long fought for the film to be aired by the Russian TV channel ORT. This film is blocked in Belarus.

It is noted that the police still consider it too early to name the suspects involved in the murder of Sheremet.
