Earlier, Belarusians wrote to Trump with a request to help restore the bus station in the village.

About 100 residents of the village of Kaplichy, Kalinkavichy district, signed an appeal to the Belarusian office of the World Bank.

The villagers ask to help them repair the school and ensure the fair distribution of the money allocated by the World Bank, writes naviny.by.

The reason for the appeal was the allocation by the World Bank of additional funding in the amount of 90 million euros to continue modernizing and equipping schools, as well as improving the quality of education for schoolchildren carried out within the framework of the project “Modernization of the educational system of the Republic of Belarus”. The World Bank reported that, with funding, “65,000 schoolchildren from small towns, villages and settlements throughout Belarus will be able to study in renovated schools with new laboratory equipment.”

In the village of Kaplichy, in 2016, the school was closed - the only one in the village council, under the pretext that the building needed repair. They started driving children to other schools, for which a significant part of the budget is spent, and schoolchildren spend more time on the road. Children from the villages of Staryja Navasiolki and Novyja Navasiolki overcome the 30 km distance to the Shiichy school, from Kaplichy to Shiichy - 14.5 km. In total, 73 children travel from Kaplichy to the school in Shiichy.

To all enquiries, the officials replied that the school was not closed, but its work was suspended. Recently, a response was received from the Ministry of Education that it is not reasonable to repair the school.

“With great respect, we ask for help in restoring a single school in four villages,” the villagers wrote in a message to the World Bank.

Earlier, the residents of Dousk wrote a letter to US President Donald Trump, asking to restore the bus station in their town.
