Serbian Embassy Refuses To Comment On Health Condition Of Ambassador To Belarus

In the evening of June 22, Veljko Kovacevic, Ambassador of Serbia to Belarus, felt ill and was hospitalized.

In the morning of June 24, the Serbian embassy refused to comment on the ambassador's health condition and details of the incident, referring to internal instructions.

The official version of the incident, previously reported to Nasha Niva at the embassy, is as follows: the diplomat got sick when he was escorting President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic to Minsk airport.

The Nexta telegram channel claims that the ambassador was taken by the ambulance from the Chyzhouka Arena and was diagnosed with a stroke, but in the end, they found a mild cranial injury and a fracture of three ribs.

In the evening of June 23, the embassy told Onliner that the ambassador was still in hospital, the exact diagnosis was unknown.
