The press services of many heads of state decided not to mention the meetings with the Belarusian dictator.

The ONT TV channel reported about the speech of the Belarusian head of state at the summit, sparing no loud epithets, udf.by writes.

"Aliaksandr Lukashenka's speech, in fact, set the trend for discussion - modern threats are common to all countries, while the current security system in the world is "cracking at the seams." Yesterday, 500 reporters from all over the world, of course, were waiting for loud headlines, realizing that, most likely, Aliaksandr Lukashenka would speak frankly about the problems of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The expectations were more than justified, since the press center even applauded Lukashenka.

In fact, Aliaksandr Lukashenka's speech was one of the most subtle episodes of the summit. First of all, it should be understood that Belarus is not a member of the SCO, but only a participant with observer status. The leaders of the 8 member-states of the organization (including Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin) held the main negotiations behind closed doors - and Lukashenka couldn't be allowed there.

Lukashenka was only allowed to speak at the enlarged session, where the heads of several other countries were present.

The Belarus 1 TV channel said that "a record number of bilateral meetings" with Lukashenka took place at the summit. That is, eight meetings were held with the leaders of China, Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, India, Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan.

But it is important to be aware of the quality of the negotiations. For example, the conversation with Putin took place right in the meeting room and was brief.

And in some countries, the meeting of their leaders with Lukashenka was not even mentioned. The press services of the Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan, as well as the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, have not informed about them until now.
