But At Least He's Good Sheep Breeder

Before you blame someone else's forecasts, you should have a look at yours.

It seems that there is no sphere in which Lukashenka does not give out his "most severe instructions." They do not give birth in maternity hospitals without his instructions, and they do not even risk digging a compost pit in the village without receiving his detailed guidance, Salidarnasts writes.

Therefore, when Aliaksandr came down on Belhidramet, no one was particularly surprised.

- Something should be done with them: they should be either liquidated or brought to the senses. At best, the weather forecast is 50-70% reliable. We do not need such a Hydrometeorological Center, - Lukashenko said on June 11, distributing new appointments. - I'm guided by the military, who see the weather in real time, who will tell me where the rains are in the republic and what will happen in the next 12 hours.

In principle, this is not the first time he has a go at synoptics. Two years ago, Lukashenka said the same thing about the quality of weather forecast.

- When I read your information, and I get it every day, I just want to disperse this organization. If you do not know how to work, contact the military, and learn how to work there, - Lukashenka said to the Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection.

As we can see, little has changed since then. Belhidramet's forecasts do not satisfy Lukashenka. Although, frankly speaking, why should a person, who can say: "You asked for rain, I gave you rain!" know anything about the weather?

But seriously, before you blame someone for their forecasts, you should take a closer look at your own. All you need to do is to recall what kind of economic growth Aliaksandr promised, and what happened in the end. Wherever you look: agriculture, industry, education ... even 50-70% of the promised did not come true. And the forecasts of the head of state about the salaries of $1000 still cause nervous laughter.

Although, for the sake of fairness, it should be noted that some of the wage promises have been fulfilled. As, for example, $500 of average salary before the elections in 2010. Another thing is that after that, the Belarusians faced an icy rain of the ruble devaluation. "You asked for rain, I gave you rain!"

So, the head of state is not really a true synoptic!

But, they say, he is a good sheep-breeder. "There are fifty of them. I give them out to people. There's plenty of them," - Lukashenka talked about his sheep, which he raises in the residence, and was outraged that the government had predicted only 133% increase in the number of sheep in the country by 2025.

So there's nothing to worry about in the economy. Let's deal with the weather and sheep. They have always been able to make forecasts and breed sheep here.
