The company is going to launch up to 12,000 satellites by mid-2020s. At the moment, there are only about 1400 satellites in orbit. That is, it is eight times less than Elon Musk plans to launch. His company expects that with the help of solar energy they will be able to give the world high-speed Internet – up to one gigabit per second.
